Old Elk Straight Rye Whiskey – Review

The Legend

Founded by the creator of OtterBox and Blue Ocean Enterprises, Curtis Richardson, Old Elk Distillery has an extensive lineup that includes bourbon, wheated bourbon, gin, bourbon cream and peanut butter flavoured whiskey. They’ve won numerous amounts of gold awards, and I can imagine that will continue as they keep releasing excellent expressions.

Final Thoughts

After adding a few drops of water:
More rye spice, caramel vanilla and orange notes and a bit of red apple on the nose
More of the baking spice and oak on the palate
More herbal and oaky on the finish

Easy sipping rye with a nice amount of spice

Overall: 🥃🥃🥃
